Halladay vs Osteen
Phillies 10, Dodgers 2
The visiting Phightins turned a 3-2 nail biter into a blow out with 7 runs over the final 2 frames. Doc Halladay went 7 and allowed 2 to post the win. HOF 3rd baseman Michael Jack Schmits went 3 for 4. Journeyman Jerry Martin was 4-6 with 2 RBI's. Amazingly no one hit a homer as the Phils scored 10 runs on 15 hits.

Back to back doubles by Jackie and Campy gave Bill "Throwing Machine" Singer a comfortable 3 run cushion. 4 more runs int he bottom of the 8th put the game out of reach. Pee Wee (4-5) was on base all day as was Campy (3-4) and Skoooonj (3-4). Dem Bums managed 17 hits with two huge long balls from the Duke of Flatbush and Andy Pafko.
GAME 3 - The Vet
Sutton vs Hamels
Dodgers 15, Phillies 1
Continuing the trend of blowouts the Dodgers traveled to the City of Brotherly love and scored early and often, as if ace Don Sutton (CG 1 run) need the fireworks. Gil Hodges (3-5) led the onslaught with 2 homers and 5 RBI's. Duke Snider (3-6) knocked in 4 with a based clearing double in the 5th and a solo shot
